Start your day by boarding a bullet train from Shanghai to Suzhou, arriving in just half an hour. Your private guide will meet and take you to discover the rich collections at Suzhou Museum designed by I.M. Pei, the serene Lingering Garden, famous for its intricate architecture and striking rock formations, and a silk workshop, where you can learn about silk production. In the evening, visit Master of the Nets Garden to enjoy various performances, including Kunqu Opera, Pingtan, and classical Chinese music.

Tongli Water Town & Return to Shanghai

Drive 40 minutes from Suzhou to the charming town of Tongli, often called the “Venice of the East.” With your guide, enjoy a leisurely walk or a relaxing boat ride through its scenic canals, capturing views of ancient arched bridges, traditional houses, and weaving willow trees. Explore hidden back alleys and sample local delicacies that reflect Tongli’s authentic water-town charm. In the afternoon, be dropped off at Suzhou Railway Station for your return journey to Shanghai.
