Day 1
Suzhou
Hangzhou, Arrival
Upon your arrival at Hangzhou, the paradise on earth, your private guide will greet and escort you to your hotel. Fall in love with this charming city by a visit to the West Lake (by boat, golf car, and bicycle or on foot as you wish). Later, you will admire the skyline of the beautiful landscape in Hangzhou from Chenghuang Pavilion.

Today, a private day tour will bring you to the cultural heritage Museums of Knives, Scissors and Swords, Fan and Umbrella. Try your hands on painting the paper umbrella at the Workmanship Demonstrations Pavilion. Continue on to take a boat ride along the canal and stroll around the Dadoulu historic district. Tour ends at a visit to the Xiangji Temple, an ancient temple built in Northern Song Dynasty.
Hangzhou, Departure
You will be free on your own till your private guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight.
Suzhou
Begin at a silk workshop where you will witness how quaint cocoons are transformed into luxurious fabrics. Then, at the Silk Embroidery Research Institute, marvel at intricate, lifelike images of animals, landscapes, and figures stitched with hair-thin silk threads. Later, at the Sandalwood Fan Factory, get involved with creating a fragrant sandalwood fan, once a symbol of scholarly refinement. Finally, visit the Taohuawu New Year Painting Museum and appreciate traditional woodblock prints.
