In these five days, traveling between Suzhou and Hangzhou, you will be captivated by the essence of classical Chinese: quaint Suzhou gardens, tranquil West Lake, ancient Wuzhen Water Town, exquisite silk and embroidery, and the overflowing tea aroma.

Suzhou, known as the "Venice of the East" for its canals, tranquil gardens, and romantic water towns, will take you through centuries of culture and modern wonder. Enjoy a relaxing journey while exploring the city's main attractions, such as the Lingering Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Tongli Water Town, on this short 2-day trip. Furthermore, you'll also visit a silk factory to learn how silk is made and enjoy a traditional musical and dancing performance in the Master of the Nets Garden.

Welcome to Suzhou

Start your morning with a rickshaw tour through Suzhou’s old streets and along its peaceful canals, immersing yourself in the city’s traditional life. Stop at the bustling flower and bird market, where you will find a colorful array of flowers, pets, and bonsai trees. For lunch, savor authentic Suzhou cuisine at a cozy local restaurant.

In the afternoon, explore the Lingering Garden, strolling through its classical pavilions, ancient trees, and beautiful rock formations to take in a piece of tranquility. Then, find a tea house and relax with local tea, beer, or coffee. There, you will also witness the intricate makeup process of Kunqu Opera before enjoying an engaging performance of this classical art form.
