Chongqing Arrival

Welcome to Chongqing, China’s dramatic mountain city, famously nicknamed the “8D City” for its mind-bending architecture and layered urban planning.

Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax or begin exploring at your own pace.

In the evening, you can head to Raffles City Chongqing, a sleek commercial complex perched at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. From the skybridge observatory at Raffles City, soak in a dazzling cityscape where neon towers rise above undulating hills, an unforgettable first glimpse of Chongqing’s futuristic charm.

Days 2

Huangjueya Old Street, Snack Tasting at Bayi Street, Liziba Rail Station, Kuixing Building, Hongya Cave, Hot Pot Dinner

Begin in Huangjueya Old Street, where sizzling woks fill the air with savory aromas and vendors tempt you with crispy fried pastries and sweet sesame treats. Follow your local guide to Bayi Street, a culinary haven lined with open-air stalls. Bite into spicy grilled chicken skewers dusted with cumin and pepper, then cool down with a bowl of chewy jelly noodles tossed in a zesty chili-lime sauce.

Witness the surreal sight of the Liziba Light Rail as it glides through a 19th-floor apartment like a silver serpent – a moment that truly defines Chongqing’s layered cityscape.

As dusk descends, ascend to the quirky Kuixing Building, where staircases lead to sky-high platforms and the first floor is never where it seems. Continue with a stroll at Hongya Cave, where stilted wooden terraces spill down the cliffside. Lit by golden lanterns at night, this 11-story marvel glows over the river like a palace suspended in the air.

Conclude your day with an unforgettable Chongqing hot pot dinner, a fiery feast famed for its bold aroma and tongue-tingling spice. Try tender beef, crisp vegetables, and even a few adventurous delicacies.

Days 3

Local Market & Departure

Stroll through a bustling Chongqing morning market to get insights into local life. Weave between stalls piled high with ruby-red chilies glistening with morning dew and inhale the citrusy punch of freshly harvested Sichuan peppercorns. Admire how vendors arrange crisp bok choy and mustard greens into verdant, floral displays. It’s a final feast for the senses and a window into daily life in this vibrant city.

After the market, enjoy a smooth transfer to the airport. Safe travels and we hope to welcome you back to Chongqing again soon!
