Itineraries

Day 1

Suzhou

Begin at a silk workshop where you will witness how quaint cocoons are transformed into luxurious fabrics. Then, at the Silk Embroidery Research Institute, marvel at intricate, lifelike images of animals, landscapes, and figures stitched with hair-thin silk threads. Later, at the Sandalwood Fan Factory, get involved with creating a fragrant sandalwood fan, once a symbol of scholarly refinement. Finally, visit the Taohuawu New Year Painting Museum and appreciate traditional woodblock prints.
Days 1

Arrival, Explore Hongcun

Upon your arrival, explore the picturesque village of Hongcun, renowned as one of China’s most beautiful villages. Stroll along the cobblestone paths, marvel at the ancient architecture, and immerse yourself in the traditional folk customs.

After enjoying a delightful time in Hongcun, retire for the night in Tunxi.

Days 2

Xin'an River Trekking

In the morning, you will depart from Tunxi to Shendu dock, which will take approximately one hour by car. Upon arrival, board a ferry to cross the Xin’an River and participate in a delightful hiking excursion. Journeying along the river, you will immerse yourself in a picturesque landscape. The Huizhou-style ancient dwellings with black tiles and white walls sit harmoniously amidst lush and green trees. The villages, built by the river and home to warm-hearted villagers, exude authentic and rustic charms.

In spring, the trails are adorned with blooming rapeseed fields. During harvest season, the bountiful loquats or oranges in the orchards create a scenic view and provide an opportunity to experience rural life. After the tour, you will return to Tunxi by vehicle.

Days 3

Beihai Scenic Area

Today, drive to Huangshan Scenic Area (about 1.5 hours) and ascend the mountain by cable to enjoy its breathtaking beauty and reach the White Goose Station. Step into the Beihai Scenic Area, a picturesque window to the grandeur of Mt. Huangshan. Noted for its abundant and eccentric peaks, one such example is a peak where a stone formation resembling a monkey sits in fascination over the sea of clouds. Should fortune favor you, you stand a chance to behold the marvelous spectacle of this cloud sea.

However, even if the cloud sea eludes your visit, the experience of basking in the glowing sunset atop the mountain will still leave you spellbound, compelling you to linger and lose track of time.

Days 4

Mount Huangshan Hiking

Continue the captivating hike. For experienced hikers, there are two thrilling options to consider: the Lotus Peak, which is the highest peak of Huangshan, or the perilous and steep Tiandu Peak. Along the way, you will be greeted by the majestic Pines, while navigating through narrow and rugged trails that will test your physical strength and bravery.

After your hiking, have a rest in your hotel. Then, savor the mesmerizing sunset views from the mountaintop, as golden hues cast upon the surrounding peaks.

Days 5

West Sea Grand Canyon, Departure

Descend to the bottom of the West Sea Grand Canyon. Traverse winding paths, passing through dense forests and unique rock formations. When you arrive at the valley bottom, you will be awe-struck by the sights the rushing streams create. Take a moment to soak in the power of nature before taking the West Sea Cable Car back to the valley entrance.

After a break, board the cable car down the mountain. Later, depending on your itinerary, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your next destination.
