Itineraries

Day 1

Suzhou

Begin at a silk workshop where you will witness how quaint cocoons are transformed into luxurious fabrics. Then, at the Silk Embroidery Research Institute, marvel at intricate, lifelike images of animals, landscapes, and figures stitched with hair-thin silk threads. Later, at the Sandalwood Fan Factory, get involved with creating a fragrant sandalwood fan, once a symbol of scholarly refinement. Finally, visit the Taohuawu New Year Painting Museum and appreciate traditional woodblock prints.

Days 1

Arrival, Stay in Tunxi

After breakfast, venture outwards to Mount Huangshan. Board a cable car from Yungu Station. As you ascend higher, nature’s astonishing craftsmanship unfolds before your eyes.

Enter the Beihai scenic area and marvel at the peculiar and intricate shapes of massive rocks that stand proudly, while resilient pine trees thrive amidst the crevices. If luck is on your side, you may witness the mesmerizing spectacle of clouds serenely drifting between the peaks, creating a breathtaking sight.

Days 2

Hongcun Village, Nanping Ancient Village, Experience Huizhou Life

Hongcun Village, Nanping Ancient Village, Experience Huizhou Life

Drive about 1.5 hours to Nanping Ancient Village, where eight ancient ancestral halls and numerous Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings are well-preserved, each exhibiting unique styles and graceful designs.

Participate in local rural life while children enjoy picking organic vegetables at local farmers’ gardens. Engage in the diverting tasks of drawing water from ancient wells, washing vegetables, and cooking on traditional Huizhou-style wood-fired stoves in a century-old courtyard. Indulge in the flavors of Chinese cuisine created by your own hands.

Proceed to Hongcun and marvel at its distinctive architecture. Walking through the streets of villages feels like stepping back in time and embracing the essence of traditional Huizhou culture. As night falls, return to the city center for an overnight stay.

Days 3

Huangshan Expedition

After breakfast, commence your day at the Huangshan Scenic Area, located approximately 65 kilometers from the urban area.

Take the cable car up and venture deep into the mountains, challenging yourself with narrow and steep trails, and witness the magnificent landscapes of peculiar rock formations and majestic peaks. It’s made sure to create everlasting memories of this unforgettable hiking journey shared with your family.

Days 4

Hongcun Village, Departure

Today, you will return to the city center and participate in crafting a joss stick pendant, one of the traditional forms of incense in China, often worn for its numerous health benefits, such as clearing the mind, calming the spirit, and enhancing mental clarity.

Afterward, be escorted to the train station or airport, concluding your delightful family journey in Huangshan.
