Arrival and Enjoy Some Leisure Time
Welcome to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park!
Arrive at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport (DYG) and meet your private tour guide at the exit. Be transferred to the hotel near the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Along the way, your guide will briefly introduce the city and reconfirm the details of the upcoming tours.
Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain and Ten-Mile Gallery
Today you’ll explore the highlights of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, including Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, and the Ten-Mile Gallery. Transportation options such as elevators, cable cars, and sightseeing trains will enhance your tour experience without requiring extensive hiking. The most exciting part would be ascending the glass-deck Bailong Elevator, the world’s highest, which will take you to a mountain top over 300 meters high in a minute and a half.
To protect the environment, visitors must use the scenic area’s shuttle bus to travel between each site. Your guide will accompany you throughout the trip and may adjust the itinerary to avoid large crowds.
Golden Whip Stream, Boat Cruise on Baofeng Lake, Departure
Continue exploring the forest park today. Take a leisurely hike along the Golden Whip Stream, breathing in the fresh air. You may encounter wild monkeys along the way; however, for safety reasons, avoid feeding them and keep a safe distance. The round-trip hike (return the same way you came) may take two to three hours, depending on your pace.
In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat cruise on Baofeng Lake, surrounded by lush vegetation and towering peaks. As your trip concludes in the late afternoon, be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.

Begin at a silk workshop where you will witness how quaint cocoons are transformed into luxurious fabrics. Then, at the Silk Embroidery Research Institute, marvel at intricate, lifelike images of animals, landscapes, and figures stitched with hair-thin silk threads. Later, at the Sandalwood Fan Factory, get involved with creating a fragrant sandalwood fan, once a symbol of scholarly refinement. Finally, visit the Taohuawu New Year Painting Museum and appreciate traditional woodblock prints.
