Upon arrival in Chengdu, transfer to your hotel by private vehicle. Take some time to rest, preparing to discover the otherworldly western Sichuan in the following days.

Start your exploration with the Dujiangyan irrigation system, an ancient marvel originally constructed around 256 BC to control floods and still in use today.

Later, depart for the National Scenic Area of Four Girls Mountain (Mount Siguniang). Named for the four mountains covered with snow and ice all year round, it looks like four graceful girls with their heads covered with white gauze. You will get an opportunity to enjoy its panoramic view at the Maobiliang Ridge before checking into your hotel.

Hiking is an ideal way to take in the natural beauty of Mt. Siguniang fully. Among the three valleys of Mt. Siguniang, Changping provides not only scenic natural scenery but also unique Jiarong Tibetan customs. In comparison, Haizi with many open and flat meadows is loved by photography enthusiasts. Depending on your interests, choose between the two and then spend the day hiking and immersing yourself in the natural splendor of Mt. Siguniang.

Another day here will be dedicated to Shuangqiao Valley, the most beautiful walking ditch in Mt. Siguniang. From the elevation of about 2,900 meters to 3,840 meters, you will be overwhelmed by the wonders of nature: where pasture, grassland, forest, and snow peaks form a natural picture.

Afterward, drive about 2.5 hours to Danba County and visit Suopo Tibetan Village with the largest number of ancient watchtowers in Danba and even the world.

Begin your day exploring Jiaju Village, home to more than 140 Tibetan families and stretching from the Dajin River valley to the foot of Kapama peaks. Continue your journey by a 2-hour drive to Moshi Park, where its unique geological formations like towering stone columns will bring you to an alien planet.

Head to Tagong Town for the night.

Dominated by red and white walls, with a glittering tower top, Tagong Temple looks like the crown on the vast grassland. Step into the temple and get an insight into local religious practices.

Later, enjoy a 4-hour scenic road trip toward Moxi Ancient Town. Get the camera ready when the car passes through Xinduqiao, which is known as the “Photographer’s paradise”.

Today, explore the breathtaking landscapes of Hailuogou National Forest Park, home to glaciers, glacial lakes, and ice waterfalls. Besides, you may also marvel at red stone beaches adorned with crimson moss-covered stones and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the virgin forests shrouded in mist.
